NIVEA MIcellair Expert Make-up remover Anverelle Review

Sometime ago, NIVEA approached me to ask if I wanted to review their newest range: the Micellair Expert make-up removers. Their new line includes a big bottle for the face, a smaller one for the eyes and remover wipes that I so dearly love after a night out. Or to be honest, after a night flight where all I can think about is my bed! Let’s check ‘em out!

This NIVEA review includes products that were sent to me by a brand or company. Although this post is sponsored, all opinions are honest and are all my own. Please read my disclaimer.

I love a good micellar water. It’s my go to product to remove mascara and eye make-up. Especially for my mascara I like to use the ones that can dissolve waterproof make-up. I don’t always wear waterproof mascara, but I just really like how it quickly removes regular mascara as well. You could state that I always use waterproof make-up remover for everything eyes :-)

The only thing I don’t like when using waterproof make-up removers is the trace of oil that often stays behind. The first thing I noticed when using the NIVEA Micellair Expert removers is that they have all the benefits of a waterproof make-up remover, but no oily trace! Let’s meet the three products:

NIVEA Micellair Expert Face

Nivea MicellAIR Skin Breathe Expert Make-Up Remover – 400 ml – € 6,89

This big bottle is meant for your face. Secretly, I’m gonna use this as well for my eyes when that small bottle runs out ;) I don’t have super sensitive eyes so I can get away with it and it works like a charm. I usually use the biggest Micellair Expert bottle to take away the first layer of (heavy) make-up and afterwards I use my normal cleanse and skincare routine.

NIVEA Micellair Expert Eyes

Nivea MicellAIR Skin Breathe Expert Oog Make-up Remover – 125 ml – € 4,29

Ever since I got the NIVEA Micellair Expert line, I immediately started using the eye make-up remover bottle. It’s almost empty by now! Like I mentioned in my introduction I love love love using oil based removers for eye make-up. Thanks to its bi-phase it makes taking (heavy) mascara off so easy and quick. And no oily traces. #yes! According to the bottle you can use this micellar water without rubbing your eyes and I can agree with that. Usually I rub my eyes with the cotton pad but here I can just use sweeping motions on and under my eyelashes and my waterproof mascara comes off just as well. It’s better for the skin around your eyes anyways ;)

NIVEA Micellair Expert Wipes

Nivea MicellAIR Skin Breathe Expert Make-Up Remover Wipes – 20 pcs – € 4,19

Ah, my guilty pleasure: make-up wipes! Especially when I get back from an exhausting flight in the evening (or morning!) all I can think of is crawling into my bed and get some sleep… One of my golden rules is: Take your make-up off before sleeping, whatever happens. It is just so bad for your skin to sleep in it, never mind what your pillow has to say about your foundation and mascara being smeared onto it… Plus, your older self will thank you too! The wipes are an ideal fix and after I wake up I make an extra effort to cleanse my skin thoroughly. I didn’t experience any break-out yet from that technique, although I do keep the Micellair Expert wipes only for those really late nights :)

NIVEA Micellair Expert Waterproof Make-up removers review Anverelle

NIVEA MicellAIR Skin Breathe Expert is suitable for all skintypes.

I think what makes me grab for the NIVEA Micellair Expert removers the most, is that they remove even waterproof make-up and leaves no oily or sticky trace afterwards. It’s really soft to use and I don’t need to tug at my skin to get my make-up off.

Do you use any waterproof make-up removers? Do you use them even when your make-up isn’t necessarily waterproof?
