Now that we’ve had some nice sunny days these past weeks, you can see everyone scurrying about to get “summer ready”. Every year (or actually, year-round) I face the same problem: dry legs. I’m horrible when it comes to hydrating my body – I can manage drinking enough water to hydrate from the inside. But from the outside? Life long problem! I just can’t be bothered to lather myself in bodylotion after every shower.
That’s why I’ve set my hopes on CÎME’s new Green Tea Therapy bodylotion! Not only does it moisturises your skin but it keeps it firm with a silky soft formula. Perfect combo for the warmer days where we’re showing a bit more skin, don’t you think?
Summer Ready with CÎME’s Green Tea Therapy Bodylotion
CÎME works on a fair-trade basis with Nepalese farmers. And with 99,15% ingredients of natural origin, you can’t go wrong with this bodylotion. The key ingredients are green tea, turmeric and chiuri butter. Sounds all good to me, but what do these ingredients do?
Green Tea Therapy bodylotion says it like it is. There’s green tea in it and green tea regenerates the elasticity of the skin. The caffeïne helps with blood circulation, so you can count on a smoother and firmer skin!
Turmeric is known for its antioxidant and collagen protecting properties, so it prevents aging and keeps the skin healthy.
Chiuri butter is a vegetable butter from the chiuri tree. It’s rich in vitamin A and E, making this butter ideal to nourish and hydrate your skin.
CÎME’s Green Tea Therapy Bodylotion
Let’s start with the packaging. The tube is very hygienic to use. You don’t have to stick your fingers in a jar (yay!) so your Green Tea Therapy bodylotion will always stay fresh. A beautiful watercolour drawing adorns the tube and gives it a natural and good-for-you vibe. Psst, check out Sashi Dammekens! She’s the artist behind the CÎME drawings.
I’ve experienced the bodylotion is lighter than others. I usually put my bodylotion straight from the tube on my body. But with the Green Tea Therapy bodylotion I’d advise to put some in your hand first and then massage it onto the skin in circular motions. Because it’s so light, the bodylotion is easily applied and absorbed. No sticky feeling afterwards! Perfect to quickly put some bodylotion on and go on with my day.
As I’ve mentioned before the key ingredients are green tea, turmeric and chiuri butter. One of the ingredients really stands out in terms of scent. I’m familiar with green tea and turmeric, so I’m guessing it’s the chiuri butter. I’m not a big fan of the nutty and earthy scent I noticed when applying the bodylotion for the first time. Most of the scent disappears after 30 to 60 min, but it definitely took me some time to get used to. That’s why I prefer to use the Green Tea Therapy bodylotion on my legs. They do stay hydrated and amazingly soft during the day, so a big plus for the silky soft formula and legs!
The Green Tea Therapy bodylotion is suitable for all skin types.
CÎME: Belgian and World-Friendly Brand
So although I’m not a big fan of the scent, I’m still a big believer in CÎME and their other products. I had the opportunity to try some other products of theirs at an event and loved it (and the scent!) Added to that, all of their products are animal friendly, biological and free from petroleum, synthetic perfumes, parabens and phenoxyethanol (a substitute for parabens). A major plus for very sensitive skin or people who just want to make a conscious choice on what they put on their skin :-)
And it gets even better! With every CÎME product sold, a part of the profit goes to the Little Doctors’ school project in Nepal. Read more about this project here.
The CÎME Green Tea Therapy Bodylotion is available on their webshop or in a natural store for € 19,95.
