A couple of weeks ago Carolien asked me if I wanted to come with her to an event by Belmodo and LPT. A day filled with workouts and loads of fun? Yes please! So last weekend I drove to Ghent and pulled up at Overzet 16 where the LPT studio was.
LPT stands for Leander Personal Training and together with Belmodo, they organised the event. LPT is the biggest personal training company in Belgium so we were at the right place to learn something more about our bodies, healthy habits and movements!

The schedule was filled to the brim with 15 different workshops and it was hard to choose from! You had two workout zones and one education zone where the talks were held. When I was at BeFit London I basically missed all the workouts because I went to talks and strolled along all the brands – #oops. So this time I was determined to have a full day of workouts!
Carolien and I chose to start with boxing! It was the perfect workout to wake up our bodies and get our blood pumping. There’s always that badass feeling when you put on boxing gloves, don’t you think? We learned how to – obviously – give some punches and how to avoid getting one in the face… ;) But the unexpected burpees and push-ups were probably another thing that got our hearts racing! We can now proudly say we can perform a few boxing moves ;) After boxing I quickly snuck into the education zone where Sandra Bekkari just ended her talk about her book and the “Asana way”. My mom and I are a big fan of her recipes, so I asked for an autograph (made mom happy with that one!) and a selfie ;)
Next up: 3D Booty! I’ll just be really frank with you and admit that I’m all for the booty gains so this workshop was right up my alley. First we got an introduction to all the muscles that you need to work with and then it was time to make them actually WORK. The workout was done as a circuit training and since we’re used to doing the Kayla exercises it was nothing too new to us. But the result was there, because the day after I was definitely feeling the burn!
And then it was lunchtime! There was a fridge where you could grab an Alpro Go On “yoghurt”, but the lunch was an irresistible cold pasta with tomatoes. We then had an hour and a half break and during lunch I was interviewed! As soon as I can get hold of the video, I will put in a link below! By the time we got to dessert, it was all gone. Definitely not enough desserts for everyone. Very sad face… So we just grabbed another Alpro Go On instead! ;)
Drinking enough water is very important! So I made sure I filled up my Acquablend water bottle with water from Sipwell, another sponsor of the Belmodo Fit Summit by LPT. You might see me sipping away in the background ;) This photo was taken during the stretch workshop. Here we learned how to stretch properly to avoid getting hurt. It was a bit different then I expected, but it was really interesting nonetheless. Also, because I’m hypermobile (quite the bendy lady…) I discovered I’ll need different stretches and I should work more on gaining more muscle so my muscles can cope with my hyper-mobility.
Right after the stretching, Carolien and I decided on a relaxing yoga workshop! We’re both no strangers to backpain and this workshop designed for the back seemed like the perfect opportunity to learn something more about it and possibly relieve some pain with yoga. This is the only picture I have of the workshop. It was so relaxing and I didn’t want to interrupt that flow that comes with yoga.
Oh boy, if I had known the last workshop – Ballet Fit – was going to be soooo hard I might have gone with the core workshop, lol! I really had to fight my way through the workshop as I already began to feel tired and sore from the other workouts… But I did feel like a pretty ballerina (albeit a clumsy one) so that kinda makes up for it. But afterwards I already felt so sore in my back, arms and legs and I was going to feel that for the next two days. #auwch. That workshop really kicked my 3D Booty! ;)
After Ballet Fit, it was time to go home! We also got a goodiebag, which included a notebook from Belmodo. Bloggers thrive on notebooks, I swear – all those ideas don’t memorise themselves! ;) We also got a coconutmilk drink from Alpro (went straight into a smoothie the next day!) a bunch of folders and a watermelon watering flavour to spice up our H2O.
And that concluded a very active day with Belmodo, LPT and lovely Carolien from “On a Healthy Adventure”! Curious what she thought of the Fit Summit? Read her article here.
